The Mix That Caused The Anna Nicole Smith Overdose?

The Anna Nicole Smith Overdose could have been avoided if someone around her would have told her to stop or even demanded her to get help. She had a doctor in the room with her at some point that encouraged her to go to the hospital. She did not want to be involved in the media that would follow. It was found the Anna Nicole Smith Overdose was caused by many different drugs. If someone I knew was on many drugs and I was a doctor, I might find them incompetent to make their own decisions and have them admitted to the hospital. Apparently, no one cared that much about her and allowed the Anna Nicole Smith overdose to occur right in front of them.

The Medicine In Her Body

There were many different drugs found inside Anna’s body that led to the Anna Nicole Smith overdose. You can not expect someone to carry around that many different types of drugs and one or two of them not cause problems. The one that was the most toxic to the Anna Nicole Smith overdose was the growth hormone she had been taking called Chloral Hydrate. It is really a nasty sort of drug. It causes you to possibly have a habit forming with its use and you can not stop using it without a doctor.

She apparently was on quite a few medications for anxiety. I do not understand why one would not work to help her. Instead of one, she was taking three or four drugs for anxiety. I think if you need that many drugs, you need to be in the hospital talking to a psychiatrist. If she had been then maybe the Anna Nicole Smith overdose would not have happened. The other drugs in her system at the time of the Anna Nicole Smith overdose are as follows:

• Diphenhydramine - an antihistamine
• Clonazepam – an anti-seizure drug, it is also used for panic attacks
• Diazepam - used to treat anxiety problems
• Nordiazepam - produced when you digest diazepam
• Temazepam - also produced when you digest diazepam)
• Oxazepam - used to treat anxiety problems
• Lorazepam - used to treat anxiety problems
• Topiramate - used to treat seizures, migraines, and sometimes as a weight control drug
• Ciprofloxacin - an antibiotic
• Acetaminophen – fever reducer and pain reliever

Atropine, a drug used in emergency resuscitation procedures was also found in her system but, this drug was not taken by her but given at the time right before her death.

Knowledge Is Key

Would you think that someone who was with her that day would know better than to allow someone close to them to take so many medications? These people could have stopped the Anna Nicole Smith overdose by simply pouring out all the pills in the room and calling for help. If someone had the Anna Nicole Smith overdose could have been avoided.
